Henry & Lisa's Natural Seafood Wild Alaskan Pink Salmon

Henry & Lisa's Natural Seafood Wild Alaskan Pink Salmon: B- Honestly not the most appetizing to view but texture and flavor was better than the Kirkland Signature Wild Alaskan Pink Salmon. The packaging says that it is cooked with skin and bones to make it richer in Omega-3s, so I had an inkling that the fish would potentially come with bones. The processing of the salmon seems to have made the bones quite delicate, like in sardines despite the larger circumference. I was only able to eat half a can because of how much salmon was packed in there. It wasn't oily, more like it was just tinned with the broth that seeps out of salmon when it is cooked. This tinned fish was still a step down from Trader Joes and Fishwife rectangular tins -- which both are filleted which means no bones. In this case, I just used chopsticks to pick the bones out as they were just firm enough to still be removable. No photo since it genuinely did not look appetizing. But I saved the leftover salmo...

Fishwife Sardines with Preserved Lemon

Fishwife Sardines with Preserved Lemon: A I had this with some plant based cream cheese and low carb high protein bread. It was quite nice. A very different experience from Nuri Sardines which had an intact and slightly crunchy spine that I could easily pick out. I had to double check that there were bones on the fish because the bites were just so tender and moist. These were the least bony bone-in sardines I have had in my life. I have had quite a few different sardines at this point. This, Nuri, and Seasons competing for number one, tho considering price point and availability at the moment, Seasons is the daily driver. Texture-wise Fishwife Sardines is the winner, though Nuri wins hands down on scent and flavor.

Beach Cliff Fish Steaks

Beach Cliff Fish Steaks in Mustard Sauce: C- I would rather eat basic Chicken of the Sea Tuna. The texture was kind of tough and dry... Also I discovered through this particular tin that I don't care for mustard and fish. 😔 I really didn't enjoy this.

Fishwife Gift Box & RTG Package

Target was selling a Fishwife Gift Box, which was quite gorgeous. It came with Smoked Mackerel with Chili Flakes and Smoked Rainbow Trout, plus a  Mini Tabasco Hot Sauce that had a custom Fishwife label. The Tabasco has been nice to eat on eggs, as it usually is. So far I've had the Smoked Mackerel with Chili Flakes and today just had the Natural Catch Spicy Tuna Filets. Fishwife Smoked Mackerel with Chili Flakes: A The Fishwife Smoked Mackerel was quite tasty, not very spicy though it has a light kick.  The texture was very much like smoked salmon but less slippery. And it was salty, to be expected from smoked fish. This brand has once again delivered a great tasting tin, though I will be honest and say I would probably just buy a pack of smoked fish and drizzle oil and chili flakes on it instead for the price of this one tin. Natural Catch Spicy Yellowfin Tuna Fillets: B The spiciness of this tinned fish made my mouth hurt, tho it was still quite tasty and I happily ate it r...
